Meet our Designers

THE REBEL COLLECTION - MEET "Maanava Raj"

In Their Words

“Design to me is rebellion with purpose. I don’t create to please. I create to provoke, to push, to peel back layers we’re taught to hide.”

Creative Direction for Rebel Collection

For the collection I channeled the fire that comes with unapologetic self expression. It’s a visual dialogue about breaking molds. About choosing to stand loud when silence is expected. The pieces I designed for DCEVE embody a clash between structure and freedom, reflecting what it feels like to be creatively and politically awake. Each graphic is a pulse, a protest, a story stitched in boldness.

What This Design Represents

The sharp contrasting type is a nod to disruption. Deliberately uncomfortable. Intentionally loud. I played with stark black and burning red to symbolize the friction between control and liberty. The graphic elements draw from protest posters, underground zines, and the energy of street activism. The design speaks in bold visual statements, refusing to whisper.

Signature Touch

I always embed controlled chaos into my work. Hand altered typography, asymmetric layout, and a raw layered texture that feels alive. There's always a piece of resistance in every corner even if you have to look twice to see it.

COEXISTENCE Collection- MEET "Suprateek Akondi"

In Their Words

Hello everyone! I am Suprateek, a second year Visual Communication student at Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology. From a young age I have been fascinated by art, which helped shape my personality. I believe art isn’t an elitist medium and I wish to include everyone in my expression. Through my practice I aim to bring forth a sense of joy and togetherness.

COEXISTENCE Collection

The COEXISTENCE collection is inspired by the works of writer Donna Haraway. She used cyborgs as a metaphor to showcase socially constructed barriers. Through this lens she explored feminism, which inspired me to apply  an intersectional framework for India. The Indian subcontinent is known for its diversity. But recently we have been noticing the atrocities that are committed against people based on their identities.

The COEXISTENCE collection is an attempt to overcome these man-made limitations and help foster an environment where everyone can live as a community.
